Metallurgical Design and Industry: Prehistory to the Space Age, edited by Brett Kaufman and Clyde Briant now available from Springer. Kaufman is a former Joukowsky Institute Postdoctoral Fellow, and the book is a result of a course he and Briant team-taught together at Brown Unviversity, ARCH 1857 Metals and Engineering Design in the Ancient World. Kaufman is now Assistant Professor in the Department of the Classics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; Briant is Otis Everett Randall University Professor of Engineering.
