Congratulations to the winners of this year's Joukowsky Award for Student Research:

Honorable mention was awarded to Carrington Hughes for her paper, "The Gullah Geechee Heritage Corridor: Cultural Preservation and the Politics of Visibility."
The faculty and staff of the Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World loved reading -- and listening to, exploring, and experimenting with -- all the submissions this year, and remarked that it is exciting to see how smart, eloquent, and inventive archaeology students at Brown University can be.
